Neal Harrelson

Tenor

Neal Harrelson is a Heldentenor — German for "heroic tenor" — originally from Jacksonville, Florida. His voice is a rare, powerful operatic type with a baritonal, dark timbre in the middle register, combined with a ringing upper register and intense stamina.

Neal built a distinguished, international career as a tenor performing with opera companies and ensembles across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

Neal earned his Bachelor of Music from Shorter College in Rome, Georgia; his Master of Music from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville; and an Artist Diploma in Opera from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.

Today Neal brings his wealth of experience to his students as a devoted voice teacher in New York City, helping the next generation of singers develop their instrument with technical precision and long-term sustainability.
